1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Tekabuy, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Tekabuy reserves the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
3. Pay on Delivery
You pay when your order arrives, by bank transfer to Tekabuy's business account. Payment is received by Tekabuy, not by the vendor or the agent. Tekabuy does not accept cash or POS payments. Agents may not collect cash, card or POS payments, or ask you to pay into a personal account; refuse any such request and report it to support. The agent hands the product over once your transfer has been confirmed.
4. Orders and Delivery
Once an order is placed, an agent will verify your readiness to receive. The vendor then ships the product. Delivery times vary by location (typically 1-5 business days). Tekabuy is not liable for delays caused by logistics providers.
5. Returns and Refunds
You may request a return within 48 hours of delivery if the product is damaged, defective, or does not match the listing. Returns are subject to review by our support team. Approved returns will be collected at no extra cost.
6. Agent Program & Commission
Agents earn commission by bringing customers to Tekabuy through their storefront link (/[agent-slug]) and by verifying orders on delivery. The first agent whose storefront link a customer buys through becomes that customer's agent permanently, and is the only agent who can earn from that customer. The rate depends on how each order arrives: an order placed through that agent's own storefront link pays the agent 80% of the agent fee, while an order placed with no link, or through a different agent's link, pays that same agent 50%. A different agent's link never earns that other agent anything. Agents must not engage in misleading advertising or spam. Tekabuy reserves the right to revoke agent status and withhold payouts for fraudulent activity.
8. Vendor Obligations
Vendors must list products accurately with correct pricing, descriptions, and images. Vendors are responsible for product quality and fulfilling orders promptly. Tekabuy may remove listings that violate our quality standards.
9. Limitation of Liability
Tekabuy acts as a marketplace connecting buyers, vendors, and agents. We do not own, manufacture, or store any products. Our liability is limited to the platform services we provide.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes will be resolved by Nigerian courts.
11. Changes to Terms
Tekabuy may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
