3. Information Sharing
We share necessary order details with vendors (to fulfill orders) and agents (to verify and facilitate delivery). We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with logistics partners for delivery purposes.
4. Data Storage
Your account data is stored securely. Your bank details are never stored on Tekabuy; where card payment is offered it is handled by our licensed payment processor. Payment for every order is made to Tekabuy and received by Tekabuy — agents and vendors do not collect payment from you directly.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can update your profile and addresses from your account settings. To delete your account, contact our support team.
6. Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage to maintain your cart, preferences, and session state. When you visit through an agent's storefront link (e.g. /[agent-slug]), we store that agent's ID locally so the agent can be credited when you place your first order. This data stays on your device.
7. Agent Attribution
When you place your first order through an agent's storefront link, we record that agent against your account. From then on, that agent is credited on your future orders. We store this attribution to calculate agent commission; it is not shared with third parties.
8. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All database access is scoped by row-level security so you can only see records that belong to you. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure — please keep your account credentials confidential.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification.
